The context
Climate change and demographic and geopolitical shifts force agriculture to keep adapting. Much of that runs through agronomists' field trials. Agmatix wanted every farmer and agronomist to run field trials easily and on their own, to raise yield and quality, save water and support sustainable farming.

What had to change
Turn everything that goes into a field trial into one experience that works in the field: in direct sun, in gloves and without reception.

What we did
- Product definition
- Research
- UX
- UI
- Design system
- FieldUser research, design-thinking workshops and product management throughout.
- SimplifyWe cut features and flows to the minimum each screen needs, while still supporting the complex steps of setting up a trial.
- Real conditionsUI tests in different environments and conditions, leading to very high contrast, large input fields and large type.
- OfflineKeeping and updating data without reception, with insights while still in the field.

Key decision
Fewer errors in the field.
Large buttons that combine action and information, like a progress bar inside the button, to use the screen well and reduce entry errors.
Fewer steps.
Geolocation, where possible, instead of entering the plot by hand.
